Charity Collections for Citizens Advice

Date:
28th January 2016

Did you know that each Citizens Advice is a locally run, independent Charity?

Part of our aim for 2016 is to educate the public of our charitable status and the need to raise donations to keep our valuable service going in the community! Part of this is to charity collect at supermarkets, which is a great way of earning some extra pennies and talking to people about our work that normally wouldn't enquire.

We meet all sorts of people during the day and all that lose change soon adds up! In January, our CEO Vicki Rowe and Barnstaple Adviser Jon Wilkes attended Tesco Extra in Barnstaple along with our Communications Officer, Georgia- who together raised a fantastic £239 for Torridge, North, Mid and West Devon Citizens Advice.

We've got other collection days lined up too throughout the year, including Waitrose in Okehampton. If you would like to get involved with our Charity in this way and help support us by shaking a bucket- please email [email protected]
